These Kalamata Style Olives are large olives that have a bright eggplant color and a flavor that is rich and fruity. Use in Mediterranean salads or antipasto trays. We use the word style to refer to those Kalamata olives not grown in Greece. Monte Pollino Kalamata style olives are grown in Turkey. They are similar in look and taste to the Greek Kalamatas, but not exactly the same. They are a little more rounded on the tip and have a slightly different texture.
