Eleanor Vere Boyle was a noted artist and illustrator of the Victorian era.

She took inspiration from the works of Albrecht Durer, John Ruskin and the pre Raphaelites.

This watercolour with gum arabic signed E. Boyle and dated 1912 is a copy of a work by Francois Boucher.
