Ernest Stamp was a Yorkshire artist working in Hampstead. Many of his portrayals of Hampstead scenes such as Heath Street, Perrins Court, Whitestone Ponds are held by Burgh House or by Camden Council.

This oil on panel painted in 1926 depicts North End, Hampstead once famed as an artists colony.
