Item Description

William Palmer Robins trained for two years as an architect under Sir Bannister Fletcher and then went to St. Martins School of Art.

He was taught etching by Sir Frank Short at the Royal College of art.

During the Great War he enlisted into The Artists Rifles and served in France.

Robins subjects were mainly landscapes and harbour scenes where he laid emphasis on details of trees and buildings/

Shoreham. An etching on laid paper. Signed in pencil. Signed in reverse on the picture, titled and dated 1925.
